Climb It!!!<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

This was always the philosophy of all the adventurers and authors I have read and seen since I was a child.\u00a0 I have always wished I was that person.\u00a0 I always wanted to be one who could honestly quote Robert Frost’s famous poem… <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Road Not Taken<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And sorry I could not travel both
\nAnd be one traveler, long I stood
\nAnd looked down one as far as I could
\nTo where it bent in the undergrowth;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then took the other, as just as fair,
\nAnd having perhaps the better claim,
\nBecause it was grassy and wanted wear;
\nThough as for that the passing there
\nHad worn them really about the same,<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And both that morning equally lay
\nIn leaves no step had trodden black.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh, I kept the first for another day!
\nYet knowing how way leads on to way,
\nI doubted if I should ever come back.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I shall be telling this with a sigh
\nSomewhere ages and ages hence:
\nTwo roads diverged in a wood, and I\u2014
\nI took the one less traveled by,
\nAnd that has made all the difference.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, now I can!\u00a0 Ever since we have been here we have looked off into the distance and saw this peak.\u00a0 This amazing pointed peak in the vast horizon of rolling hills.\u00a0 Rusty and I wondered many times what it must be, on that peak.\u00a0 A monastery?\u00a0 A castle?\u00a0 I don’t know, do you?\u00a0 Turns out it is neither, and it is not simply a peak among foothills.\u00a0 It was an observation tower atop a cold volcano! <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We took the road less traveled today, we climbed a volcano.\u00a0 WOW!\u00a0 What a feeling.\u00a0 I felt as if this place were made to show us simple humans just how much we need to respect nature in all of her glory.\u00a0 I saw the most beautiful trees afire with fall colors, moss oozing from crevices in rocks, fields of fluorescent yellow flowers, and rocks that had been spewed from beneath the volcano thousands of years ago.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Now that I have finally taken the road less traveled by… I think I’ll do it more often.\u00a0 We already have plans to buy serious hiking shoes and walking sticks.\u00a0 What a wonderful family weekend activity.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
